7. Restricted Electronics:

  • Mobile phones without an IMEI number
  • Used electronic equipment without proper documentation

8. Cultural and Historical Artifacts:

  • Antiques and art objects without permissions
  • Items of cultural heritage

9. Miscellaneous Prohibited Items:

  • Ivory and products made from ivory
  • Maps and literature depicting incorrect Indian external boundaries
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Gambling devices and lottery tickets
  • Aerosol products

10. Additional Domestic Restrictions:

  • Indian Postal Articles

International Prohibited Items (From India to Other Countries)

1. Currency and Financial Instruments:

  • Indian currency (INR) in any form
  • Banknotes, securities, and other financial instruments

2. Precious Metals and Stones:

  • Gold, silver, platinum, or other precious metals
  • Diamonds, gemstones, and similar valuables

3. Hazardous and Dangerous Goods:

  • Explosives, including fireworks and pyrotechnics
  • Flammable liquids, such as petrol, diesel, and alcohol-based substances
  • Toxic and infectious substances
  • Radioactive materials
  • Compressed gases, including aerosol sprays

4. Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances:

  • Illegal drugs and substances under NDPS Act
  • Drug precursors and paraphernalia

5. Perishable and Biological Items:

  • Perishable food items like dairy, seafood, and frozen foods without special handling
  • Live plants and seeds without a Phytosanitary Certificate
  • Live animals, insects, and animal carcasses

6. Offensive and Culturally Restricted Items:

  • Pornographic materials (varies by country)
  • Items depicting religious blasphemy or hate speech

7. Restricted Electronics & IT Equipment:

  • Lithium-ion batteries and battery-operated devices (without airline approval)
  • Encrypted communication devices (varies by country regulations)

8. Cultural and Historical Artifacts:

  • Antiques, paintings, and sculptures without Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) approval
  • Items of national heritage significance

9. Miscellaneous Prohibited Items:

  • Gambling devices and lottery tickets
  • Counterfeit goods and fake branded items
  • Maps showing incorrect Indian boundaries

10. Additional International Blue Dart Restrictions:

  • Dangerous goods under IATA regulations
  • Any commodity banned in the destination country
  • Any item that requires specific export permits without authorization

Key Notes:

  • Domestic Restrictions are governed by Carriage by Road Act, 2007 and other local regulations.
  • International Shipments require compliance with IATA (for air cargo), Customs Act, and Import/Export laws of the destination country.
